ROSA MARIA

My name is Rosa Maria, and I am an early childhood educator and the owner of Dream Kids Day Care, located in San Mateo, California. I have 9 years of experience in early childhood education in Brazil, working directly with young children in their emotional, social, and cognitive development. I also hold a technical certification in the healthcare field (nursing technician), which allows me to provide more comprehensive care, with attention to each child’s well-being, safety, and individual needs.

Throughout my experience, I have also worked with children with diverse developmental needs, which has helped me develop a more attentive, patient, and sensitive approach to each child’s individuality. My work is based on building secure relationships, respecting each child’s pace, and creating a warm and welcoming environment where children feel part of a second family. I believe that learning happens naturally through everyday experiences. At Dream Kids, children learn to share, cooperate, and understand their emotions, developing autonomy, confidence, and emotional security. My approach is inspired by the 4 Cs of education — communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking — which are encouraged through play, interaction, and exploration.

I also incorporate principles inspired by the Montessori approach, encouraging independence, freedom within limits, and hands-on learning, always respecting each child’s individual rhythm. I value a calm, structured, and safe environment where children can explore, imagine, and learn with confidence. The daily routine is organized and predictable, providing emotional security and supporting the development of independence. Safety is a priority in my work, with constant supervision, a prepared environment, and careful attention to health and hygiene, reinforced by my background in the healthcare field. More than providing care, my mission is to offer a space where each child feels welcomed, respected, and encouraged to grow in a healthy and happy way.
